Join Albert Handell in this exciting indoor/outdoor 5 and a half day painting workshop.

The daily schedule is 9:30AM to 4:30PM, with an hour for lunch. We will meet Sunday afternoon, from 4 to 6, at the studio in the Rockport Art Center, for our first Workshop session. At that time Albert will be giving out important information and maps to the different locations, plus tips on portability for oil painters and pastelists. At 6PM we’ll have our workshop dinner at a local restaurant (individual checks please).

There are three daily morning demonstrations, from 9:30 AM to noon; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning, the first demo is with pastels, from beginning to finish, the second demo is mixed media pastel painting, starting with watercolor and finishing with pastel, the third demo is in oils.

In the afternoons, from 1-4 PM, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday you will be painting from your landscape photographs and/or outdoor studies. And those who wish to work from still-life are welcome to do so. Albert will give individual help to each artist at the easel, and help you achieve better studio paintings.

Thursday we will all paint together, both morning and afternoon, on location.

Friday morning there will be an in depth critique of the work done during the week and if possible each artist, should bring 6 or 8 samples of works done prior to the workshop, either originals or photos, or computer images, etc.

In the afternoon we will paint in the studio, the workshop ends on Friday, at 4:30PM. For information of suggested art supplies for pastelists and oil painters please click here.
